The Finnish Expatriate Parliament is geographically divided in eight regions. There is a vice-speaker for each region and all the regions organize their own meetings. On this page you can find information about activities in Eastern Europe.

Regional meeting 2017 of Eastern Europe region

Welcome to the Regional meeting 2017 of Eastern Europe Region in Helsinki on Thursday 15.6.2017 at 13.30 hours. The meeting is a preparatory meeting of the following two-day long session of Finnish Expatriate Parliament. The meeting also chooses the Representative of the Region (Deputy Speaker) and his/her personal deputy until the following parliament session.

The 9. session of the Finnish Expatriate Parliament, its 20th Jubilee Session, meets on 16 - 17 June 2017 at the University of Helsinki old main building (Senate Square). On Thursday 15.6. side programs to session participants begin from 10 o'clock. Thursday peaks to the Finland 100 Worldwide concert at Helsinki Music Centre (Musiikkitalo) of which you are welcome to tell to family and friends (entrance ticket). Please remember that the deadline of Organisation's registration is 16.3.2017. Also the Motions (suggesting changes and embetterments) are sent to the secretariat by 16.3. The representatives and observers of registered organisations have time until 4.5.2017 to send in Representative's registration.

Eastern Europe Regional meeting 2016

The Regional meeting of Eastern Europe will be held in connection with the the Viro Ingrian Finn association's Summer Festival, on Saturday 18. June 2016 in Narva, at the premises of the Narva Ingrian Finn association, in address: Kreenholmi 25, 1st floor, starting at 2pm.

Matters suggested to the agenda:
- overview of expatriate Finnish activities in the area
- news from the Finnish Expatriate Parliament (advancement of resolutions of interest to us)
- adoption of rules for the Area (to note down on paper habitually formalised rules!)
- preparations for Finland's 100th anniversary year of independence in 2017

All representatives of associations that have ratified rules of the Finnish Expatriate Parliament are welcome!

Organisations and associations cover their own travel costs themselves.

*** Did you know, that Ingrians living in Estonia, who have ten associations around Estonia, have celebrated song and traditional dance festivities since year 1991 in different parts of Estonia. - This year's 16th festival will be held in Narva 18.-19. June. Program includes on Saturday celebration of Midsummer (a picnic style evening program) and on Sunday a Finnish language church service (10am at Tarto University Narva 'kolledz', Raekoja 2), a procession (ca. 12 o'clock a flag procession from Raekoja to the castle) and the fete itself (ca. 12.30 to 4pm the main fete at the castle).

Welcome to Eastern Europe region's Regional Meeting 2015 on Thursday 21.5.2015, starting at 16.00. Our address is the familiar Inkerikeskus ry, Torikatu 3 (2. floor), 00700 Helsinki (Malmi). Itä-Euroopan alueen aluekokous 2013

Ulkosuomalaisparlamentin Itä-Euroopan aluekokous pidetään 29. kesäkuuta 2013 Haapsalussa (Viro), klo 16.00 alkaen Laine-kylpylän seminaarisalissa (2. kerros). Kaikki usp:n sääntöjä ratifioineiden yhteisöjen edustajat ovat tervetulleita.
